Once upon a time, there lived a charming prince and a fair princess who's destinies magically collided when the princesses fairy godmother, Tammy, randomly decided to change dentists.
In the far away kingdom of Laramie, Wyoming, Prince Jared recently returned from his two year quest to Guatemala where he battled vigilantly to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the land. His brother, Doctor Sir Byron gallantly behooved a knights calling of cleaning the villagers teeth to Prince Jared in the kingdom of Laramie, Wyoming. Amid cleaning and scrubbing teeth and attending the University of Wyoming, he longed for the day that his fair princess would come. Meanwhile, Princess Danielle was in the far away kingdom of Provo, Utah, where she attended Dallas Roberts Academy of Hair Design and dreamed that her prince charming would come gallantly riding on a white horse and carry her to be married for all eternity in the grandest of all castles. Princess Danielle thought that she would find her prince charming in the kingdom of Provo, Utah, but to her dismay, she could not find him amongst her suitors.
This story begins when they would meet in the unlikeliest of places, and begin a magical journey that was far from a perfect fairy tale. Prince Jared would be insensitive at times," forget" to replace the toilet paper when he used it all up on his throne, and never failed to incessantly pick his boogies. This is not the story of a happily ever after that you would read in storybooks, for Princess Danielle would be overly sensitive, would nag her husband to pick up his stinky socks, and come to terms that her husband was more like Shrek than a prince. But this tale is not of a perfect prince and a perfect princess, but a real life Shrek that is alarmingly loud, endlessly farts, and has stinky feet; a real life Princess Fiona that is feisty, occasionally toots that don't exactly smell like roses, and acts like a silly goof ball. But both realizing that living a "perfect" fairytale would be boring and without the joy and humor of making mistakes and seeing one another in the worst and best of days. This is a tale of the remarkable journey of Jared and Danielle's(AKA: Shrek and Fiona's) "imperfect" but magical life together and living happily forever after.
How we met:
Jared and I met when I was home for Christmas break and went to the dentist for a check-up. As I was leaving the appointment, Byron and Allison Killpack told me about a cute brother of Byron's that returned from his mission recently and was working at the dental office. Jared had just stopped by the office for a few minutes before his drive down to Green River for Christmas break. As Allison was buttering Jared up for me, Byron was trying to convince him to come out into the reception area and meet me. He must have not liked that idea because Byron had to literally drag him out purple-faced and all! I must have looked like a bum on the street with sweats, no makeup, and a funky looking pony tail. The only thing I had done that day to get ready was brush and floss my teeth and I did not want to meet a cute boy looking like that! So, we were definitely an embarrassed, purple-faced pair, while Byron and Allison were playing matchmaker.
It turned out that I had a cavity that needed to be fixed later on that day so I left the office wondering if I would see the handsome, purple-faced young man again. I decided I wasn't going to risk looking like that later on that day so I got all dolled up and went to my appointment later that afternoon. Because it was the first cavity I had ever had, Byron was kind enough to give me some laughing gas to calm my nerves. My sister, Alayna was waiting with me while I was inhaling the loopy gas and laying back on the reclined dental chair, when lo and behold, Jared walked into the room. I was thinking to myself that I had the worst luck ever because when I first met him, I had the just rolled out of bed look and now I had a green ninja turtle mask strapped to my face. I was shocked to find out that he was asking me out on a date and I'm not sure if words even came out because my sister Alayna accepted the invitation for me.
We ended up going on a date at Byron and Allison's house for pizza and football and then we went out for bowling and ice cream. Jared was so quiet at first and I remember thinking that this was NOT going to work out if he refused to talk to me, but luckily he opened up when he challenged me to a game of bowling. The night kept rolling on and we both just didn't want it to end so we went to my parents house to hang out for a while and I challenged him to a color personality test. A half a billion questions later and both of us tired, I ended up walking him to the door. When I thought he was gonna hug me goodnight, and he landed one on me so quick that I was still standing frozen in shock. So, just as fast as smooched me, he said goodnight and left. I remember standing there in shock partly because I didn't see that coming at all, and because I wanted him to come back and kiss me again so I could actually react to it. Nonetheless, I went to bed telling myself that he had just gotten back from his mission and was still in that "weird" phase, and if it was meant to be, we would meet again and I would be able to smooch him back:) Well, the rest is history. We dated long-distance for a while with me in Provo and him in Laramie, and finally decided that we were probably in it for the long run and I moved back to Laramie and a few weeks later Jared proposed to me!

Jared sent me on a fun scavenger hunt all around Laramie, reminiscing about the day we met, our first date, and the fun adventures to follow.
For my scavenger clue he sent me to the dental office and made me think I had one more clue left. When I was running around the corner, Jared was kneeling on one knee with a beautiful ring outstretched. I was soooooooo surprised!
He then asked me to marry him and after I said yes, I could hardly stand and ended up falling on my knees with him
Jared put a beautiful ring on my finger and we were officially engaged!
